The Theatre Museum’s Website Has Been Renewed!

The Theatre Museum’s renewed website was launched on 11 December 2025. At first glance, the site’s look and color scheme may seem familiar, but we have implemented several functional and visual improvements.

At the same time, the Theatre Museum’s renewed logo was officially introduced. The familiar text logo has been updated and is now based on the Scto Grotesk A Bold typeface designed by Schick–Toikka. It is accompanied by a symbol that combines the facade of an amphitheatre, auditorium seats, and shapes reminiscent of the letter “m,” referring to the museum.

The website redesign was carried out by Fakiirimedia Oy, and the logo redesign by Jaakko Pietiläinen.

New on our website

From the homepage, you can quickly access current exhibitions, events, news and blog posts. The events page now features a new calendar view, where you can check our program for the day you plan to visit. For now, please remember to confirm opening hours on the opening hours page, as exceptional hours will only appear in the calendar next year.

On the workshops and guided tours page, you’ll now find a handy filtering function. With one click, you can display, for example, workshops designed for primary school students. Of course, you can also browse our entire workshop selection.

Most of the information from the old site has already been transferred to the new one, so you can still browse past exhibitions, events and news. Content such as learning materials and collection highlights is being reviewed and gradually published, so if something is missing, it’s likely on its way. Some sections, such as technically outdated online exhibitions, will no longer be published. Please note that not all content on the website is published in English.

If you’re looking for information that was on the old site and can’t find it on the new one, please contact us!

We welcome feedback

We’d love to hear your thoughts on the new site. What works, what doesn’t? Our website generally meets the accessibility directive’s A & AA requirements, but if you notice any accessibility issues, let us know.

You can provide feedback on the website via the contact form. Let’s work together to make the site as good and functional as possible!
