In August 2025, the Theatre Museum launched its first small fundraising campaign to support the digitization of the museum’s photo collection. The campaign ended on November 10, 2025.

The donations collected will be used to support the cataloguing and digitization of the Theatre Museum’s nationally unique photo collection for the Finna.fi service. Through Finna, the photos will be available for viewing and use by anyone interested in the performing arts and their history.

The images currently being digitized span from the 1890s to the 1980s, offering a glimpse into the history of the performing arts over a period of nearly a century.

The first images will be published in December. At that time, we will also announce the results of the fundraising campaign.
