Theatre Museum’s Audience Engagement – Experiences, Insights and the Spark of Creativity
The Theatre Museum’s audience engagement opens up new perspectives on the performing arts – on experiencing, understanding and creating. We make visible the diverse processes of performing arts as well as historical and contemporary phenomena.
At the heart of our audience work is theatre pedagogy. Through its methods, we encourage hands-on creativity and discovery through play. At the exhibition’s interactive stations and in workshops, you can immerse yourself, explore and experience performing arts with all your senses.
Our goal is to ensure that the content and services of our exhibitions are accessible and equal for everyone. We create safe encounters and support interaction.
Our activities are aimed at all ages. We organize workshops, guided tours, courses, participatory public events and special days. In addition, we offer artist meetings, seminars and residency programs and participate in various projects. We actively collaborate with schools, educational institutions, art and cultural organizations and diverse communities.
Welcome to the Theatre Museum – come and visit, step onto the stage or behind it! Try on theatre costumes, choose props and experiment with lighting and sound design. Dance, explore and let yourself be drawn into the fascinating worlds of stage design, puppet theatre and circus – and discover your own creativity.
