Admission to the Theatre Museum is free all day on Friday, 12 June. You can set off on the self-guided Circus Trail at your own pace. Along the trail, you will dive into the exhibition Amaze! Tales and Magic of Circus through tricky and fun questions. You can also explore the exhibition’s interactive activity points, Pepper’s Ghost and the shadow theatre, and finally share your own circus memory by drawing or writing. The Circus Trail is suitable for all ages, but reading skills are required.
In addition, you are welcome to explore the exhibitions. The exhibitions It’s Showtime and Amaze! Tales and Magic of Circus are open all day. The Arkadia Theatre will open to the public at 2:30 pm, after a children’s summer course. From then on, the Arkadia stage and dressing room will also be open for Helsinki Day visitors!
The Helsinki Day program also includes a Finnish-language Triplasti kivaa tour of all three museums located at the Cable Factory. The tour starts at 3 pm from museums’ lobby and offers a fast-paced, one-hour overview of the Theatre Museum, the Hotel and Restaurant Museum, and the Finnish Museum of Photography. Note, that the guided tour is available in Finnish only.
