Drama Agreement

Drama Agreement

Welcome to a Theatre Museum group visit or side program – experience, explore, and engage safely!

The Theatre Museum is a discrimination-free space: we have zero tolerance for racism, discrimination, bullying, and harassment. It is important that everyone feels safe and positive when working together in a group and taking exciting leaps into the world of theatre.

That’s why, whenever you participate in Theatre Museum’s audience engagement activities, we always begin by creating a Drama Agreement. Its purpose is to support collaborative work, establish rules and boundaries, and create a safe atmosphere. The Drama Agreement is introduced in different ways depending on whether you are attending a workshop with your own group, joining a theatre club or summer course with new people, or taking part in open non-stop holiday adventures or artist meetings.

The Drama Agreement includes the museum’s principles for a safer space.

Its aim is to encourage each of us to reflect on our own behavior and to create a sense of community and inclusion. We are all involved and responsible for building a safer space. In our audience engagement activities, we use various theatre and drama methods that allow us to address, process, and strengthen issues that may arise during the session – for example, in the middle of a workshop or guided tour.
