The guided tour of the Amaze! Tales and Magic of Circus exhibition takes you on a journey through the history of Finnish circus, from the traveling troupes of the 19th century to today’s international contemporary circus artists.
The tour explores six fascinating themes:
- The power of emotions and enchantment
- The paths to becoming a circus artist
- Training and the challenges for body and mind
- The sense of community and changing nature of life on tour
- Circus spaces and arenas, from tents to theatres and forests
- The role of social circus in supporting well-being
Finally, we pause for discussion: What makes circus unforgettable? How has circus evolved, and what does it mean to us today?
Circus is a physical art form where breaking boundaries, courage, and imagination come together in a unique way. This tour offers an inspiring and thought-provoking look at an art form that continues to take our breath away – and helps us see the world a little differently.
